A Few Things to Know Before You Book

Remote online notarization is subject to applicable federal and state laws and regulations, as well as the requirements of the receiving organization. Engle Document Services cannot guarantee that a particular court, government agency, employer, financial institution, foreign government, or other organization will accept a remotely notarized document. Please verify prior to booking the session.

Before booking: If someone has asked you to provide a notarized document, confirm whether they accept remote online notarization. If they require an in-person notarization, our Mobile Notary Service may be a better option.

What is ron?

Remote Online Notary Questions

Remote Online Notarization, or RON, allows an eligible notarization to be completed through an online audio-video session with a commissioned and authorized remote online notary.

Not necessarily. RON can allow greater geographic flexibility, subject to applicable law, eligibility requirements, and the circumstances of the notarization.

Potentially. The important question is whether the receiving authority accepts the remotely notarized document and whether the document qualifies for the subsequent authentication or Apostille process.

If international use is involved, tell us when submitting your request.

We can explain our document-services process, but we don’t provide legal advice or guarantee acceptance by the receiving organization.

The organization, attorney, government agency, or other professional requiring the document should confirm its requirements.

Some remotely notarized documents may be eligible for further authentication, while others may have additional requirements.

We’ll review the document-services pathway based on the circumstances before accepting the assignment.

No problem. If your document requires an in-person notarization, you can request our Mobile Notary Service instead.
